Position: Retail Marketing Assistant

Where: Seattle

What: Support the Retail Marketing team on key product launches and programs through day to day administrative support. Oversee order entry, promotion requests, communication support with reps and retailers, event logistics, and much more.

Responsibilities:

• Help manage seasonal program and promotion requests from reps and retailers; collect information and maintain program databases. Update program participation within salesforce database.
• Manage seeding orders that are connected to seasonal programs. Place orders after forecasts are complete to hold product, update bulks as orders come in and communicate changes to retail and product planning teams.
• Assist the retail team in the logistics for key retailer events (Fleet Feet Conference, Special Product Launches, Outdoor Retailer and Rock n Roll Retailer events).
• Place product orders for all retail marketing programs.
• Help compile program recap information and work with the Specialty Retail Marketing Manager to publish to key internal groups.
• Assist with shipping and distribution of materials for the retail programs and events.
• Hours will be between 24 — 29 per week. Schedule posted for retail team on a quarterly basis to reference.

Requirements:

• AA or BA degree in Marketing or related field preferred
• 2+ years experience in the athletic footwear/apparel industry; experience working in a retail or marketing capacity preferred
• Must possess the ability to execute a wide variety of tasks and work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Strong independent work habits
• Computer proficiency in the following MS programs: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company.
• Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all of the pieces fit together and affect one another.
• Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments’ operations and/or morale; “connecting the dots.”
• Demonstration of innovation and initiative — always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary.
• Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner in order to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community.
