What:  At REI, we have a workplace where you can be yourself, be heard and be respected while having a job that challenges you it’s a great environment that balances hard work with time off to play.  The Project Manager, Marketing contributes to REI’s success by planning and managing cross-divisional, multi-channel, small to large, print and digital projects in support of Marketing Communications and Business Partner strategies. Using project management principles and their understanding of the business, the Project Manager, Marketing provides guidance for and structure to the annual planning process, and makes recommendations to continuously improve and refine best practice.

Responsibilities:
* Provides project management for a portfolio of multi-channel, cross-divisional projects that support annual Marketing and Business Partner communication strategies.
* Supports the annual business planning process by working with Program/Business owners to capture projects, associated scope, and timing. Assesses impact to Marketing resources and ensures total scope of work falls within allocation of hours per Program/Business. Updates and monitors Program/Business spreadsheets on a regular basis.
* Leverages REI’s @task Project Management Tool to:
– Plan for, manage, and close out multiple small to large Marketing and cross-divisional projects utilizing project management principles.
– Centrally house all project documentation and communication
– Document time spent supporting project work for Program/Business Project Resource Planning (PRP) and ROI reporting
– Drive accuracy around resource expense management
– View resource utilization and capacity for PRP
– Monitor project status
– Identify and resolve issues
* Partners with Program/Business owners to understand and influence annual business strategies as they relate to identifying project work, risks, costs, and resource impacts.
* Ensures that overall project requirements are received prior to the project kick off. This includes GL and project budget, and all assets needed to execute on project objectives.
* Schedules and facilitates regularly occurring cross-divisional project team meetings both with internal and external partners to kick off projects, mitigate risks, and resolve project issues.
* Leads and/or contributes to continuous business process improvement efforts to help streamline and standardize workflow, communication, and resource efficiencies utilizing established process improvement techniques and methodologies.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years experience managing small to large cross-divisional, multi-channel print and digital projects with a Marketing focus.
* Bachelor’s degree (required) or equivalent work experience in Project Management, Account Management, Advertising, Marketing or related field.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Clearly conveys and accurately receives information by a variety of methods and in various situations.
* Proficiency in MS Project (or comparable Project Management software), MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat.
* Working knowledge of Visio, Adobe Connect Pro.
* Demonstrated knowledge and application of Project Management principles.
* Skilled and fluent in a fully digital environment is required.
* Demonstrated experience in continuous process improvement efforts preferred.
