Avalara is the leader in web-based sales and use tax automation services and has experienced explosive growth since its inception in 2004. Based on Bainbridge Island, WA, and with offices across the U.S. and overseas, Avalara is looking for an experienced channel marketing/sales professional with strong people skills and a working knowledge of the software Value Added Reseller landscape. Primary responsibility will be increasing the involvement and expanding the performance of our channel partners. This role particularly emphasizes working with signed partners who have not been fully engaged and nurturing them to their first deal and beyond. Responsibilities: 1. Identifying key individuals within partner organizations and working with them on understanding the benefits of Avalara’s Infinity program (increasing firm’s value with clients, recurring revenue potential, etc.), and helping them identify client prospects 2. Working with active partners to help generate leads (e-mail campaigns, webinars, assets, etc.) 3. Avalara Partner Portal development and improvement 4. New partner recruitment, sign-up, and on-boarding 5. Developing and distributing Partner Welcome Kits 6. Managing partner events (budget, logistics, communications, materials, signage, etc.) 15-30/yr 7. Working with internal resources on partner list data management and cleanup 8. Developing and implement Partner of the Year awards 9. Develop and implement reciprocal partner web links 10. Partner communications – newsletters, e-mail campaigns, promotions, etc. 11. Develop and administer partner surveys and resulting action plans 12. Develop, implement and administer Partner Advisory Board 13. Partner case studies 14. Partner appreciation activities (notes, gifts, etc.) Requirements: 1. 3-5 Years field marketing or sales experience  2. Strong communications/writing skills  3. Business or Marketing Degree  4.
