Position: SW Design Engineer III
Where: Bellevue
What: This position will have you working on TripIt’s core platform, developing features for the web application and the developer API. You must be passionate about working with new technologies and solving difficult technical problems. You should have a good sense of product design, have solid development habits (e.g., unit testing, technical design documentation, etc.), and have good experience with backend web technologies. Most importantly, you should not be afraid to dive into new and unfamiliar technologies.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of prior software development experience
• Strong understanding of web and web-related technologies (Experience developing consumer web applications preferred)
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming
• Strong experience with client-side application development in HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Strong knowledge of one or more relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle)
• Solid development habits and practices
• Natural problem-solver and troubleshooter
• Comfortable working in a GNU Linux/Unix environment
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to pass a background check.
