Position: Domestic Marketing Coordinator

Where: Seattle (Fremont area)

What: The Domestic Marketing Coordinator is an exempt, high-energy, hands-on member of the team, responsible for coordinating and project managing Cutter & Buck’s North American marketing initiatives for all sales channels. They are the hub between marketing, product, and sales — implementing compelling programs and go-to-market initiatives to best deliver brand promise while maximizing revenue. A dynamic, results-oriented team player would be the ideal candidate who will drive key initiatives of Cutter & Buck’s multi-channel portfolio of high profile collections.  Knowledge of US wholesale/retail/promotional apparel marketplace and an ability to manage complex initiatives is preferred, as well as the ability to interact with credibility and effectiveness at all levels of the organization, including some teams of sales reps.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Go-To-Market Programs — Work with Sales Managers to implement go-to-market plans and own USP’s and seasonal Key Stories.
  • Deliver Against Objectives – Align internal/external parties across marketing, product, sales, and other cross-functional partners in a manner that delivers against project objectives, while ensuring the highest level of integrity and expression of our brand.
  • Create Long-Term Value -Ability to gain value from our offerings through value selling skills, and by developing downstream enthusiasm and preference for our Collections.
  • Operational — Deliver against initiative/project/program budgets, including recommendations for operational improvements and budget optimization.
  • Partner with Product Teams — Partner with product team as needed to ensure delivery of needs from a Marketing standpoint.  Have deep understanding of key products and their USPs.
  • Evangelize Brand – Able to think consumer-first and drive relevant strategies that drive preference and loyalty for Cutter & Buck brand. Protects brand voice across all touch-points.
  • Project Management – Write marketing/creative briefs, development timeline, submit project requests and inform process for programs and initiatives. Sharp follow through and communication skills are required to ensure all key stakeholders are engaged and tracking.
  • Partner with Sales Teams – Assist if needed in sales meetings/presentations and major account presentations/sell-ins. Partner with National Sales Managers to accomplish goals.
  • Relationships – Create and foster relationships with internal stakeholders. Engage with external agencies and vendors and oversee their deliverables, as needed.
  • Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyze information, develops alternative solutions, and works well in group problem solving situations. Able to influence others, drive consistent execution, effectively address challenges and assist peers to solutions.
  • Passion — Have a passion for marketing, delivering exception customer service and for the apparel industry.

Requirements:

  • Experience implementing Marketing and/or Sales programs, on time and on budget.
  • Experience managing business performance by defining clear accountability’s and metrics, measuring performance, and adapting strategies and tactics as needed.
  • Experience as part of a team in the creation of channel/account specific tactics to increase profitability.
  • Lives and breathes Apparel industry.
  • Must have a passion for marketing and for delivering exception customer service.
  • An entrepreneurial approach and demonstrated experience using good economic thinking to identify business opportunities formulate strategies and deliver results.
  • Strong networking and communication skills, interpersonal, written and oral in a dynamic business environment.
  • 2 – 3 years minimum in tactical and/or strategic marketing role(s), including demonstrated success executing effective marketing programs (can be combination professional experience and education).
  • Ability to engage at multiple levels of the organization effectively.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with varying deadlines, in a nimble environment.
  • Sense of humor and willingness to roll up the sleeves to get the job done.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required (including Excel and PowerPoint), familiarity with Adobe CS5+ and Scene 7 Image authoring software preferred. MAC & PC Proficient.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
