Position: Webmaster

Clipper Vacations is seeking a full time Webmaster that will be responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining web-servers and websites. Will be responsible for updates to the content as often as required, and attend to the questions and problems of the site’s users.Responsibilities

•Ensure that the site is up and running properly at all times
•Hold primary responsibility for using and maintaining the web content management system (OpenCMS)
•Initiate and manage web development and website design projects to meet marketing and business objectives and improve user experience
•Work closely with marketing team members on content and functionality requirements
•Update the web site’s content and functions as needed by the business
•Work to ensure optimal page loads and uptime
•Research emerging technologies and services that may enhance the Web experience and make recommendations to management
•Maintain and manage relationship with backend developers
•Oversee full functionality of site and troubleshoot bugs
•Develop mobile and web-based applications for external customer use
•Monitor web stats and metrics, and develop plans to optimize website usage


•Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript (JSP a plus)
•Experience managing web server environment (apache, tomcat and MySql)
•Demonstrated leadership in project management
•Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
•Self starter, takes initiative, identifies and completes tasks
•Goal driven
•Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
•Experience developing web plans and web development roadmaps
•Experience with Google analytics, SEO and SEM
•Experience with email marketing automation tools
•Experience working with eCommerce sites
•Extreme attention to detail


•Bachelors Degree in CS, Web development, or Web design preferred
•3-4 years of experience with one or more content management systems
