Website Coordinator, Blue Nile

Who: Blue Nile
Position: Web Coordinator

Where: Seattle, WAWhat:
Blue Nile is the largest online retailer of certified diamonds, engagement rings and fine jewelry. Our corporate offices are located in Seattle’s vibrant Pioneer Square district, home to the latest wave of internet startups and packed with restaurants and excellent access to transportation and entertainment. Our dress code favors jeans and our facilities include bike racks, showers, and great access to the waterfront and Myrtle Edwards Park for activities.

Blue Nile is seeking a Website Coordinator to join our Site Development Team. This is a great opportunity for someone with limited professional experience to jump into the management of the software release cycle across many different site platforms. You will coordinate the work and release for ongoing content updates and refreshes to the Blue Nile websites, including our mobile, international and translated websites, email and social integration. Working with internal business partners and technology, you will resolve ambiguities in requirements, coordinate resources, schedule, and communicate the release of content updates. The successful candidate loves to be in the details while keeping an eye on the big picture, is able to provide clear direction in the face of rapidly changing priorities and requirements, and relishes seeing the fruits of their labor on the website every day. Excellent communication skills are vital, as is a knack for process improvement.

•Manage day-to-day changes to the Blue Nile websites
•Interact with internal business areas such as Marketing and Merchandising to define and clarify requirements
•Work closely with the Design, Development, and QA teams to deliver updates to the Blue Nile website
•Communicate status to business owners, project managers, and other stakeholders
•Drive deliverables to completion on a production schedule

•Minimum of 1 year experience working in a web or mobile technology environment, preferably in a project or product management role or department
•Familiarity or experience with project management best practices and an understanding of the software development lifecycle
•College degree or equivalent experience
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
