The successful candidate will…
• Be able to spot, research and take advantage of marketing opportunities
• Have the hands-on writing, design, and campaign management skills needed to target markets with specific messages and offers that drive results. Be a highly creative, modern marketer with a bias for testing, analysis, and exceeding financial targets.
• Show discipline, commitment and accountability needed to take chances and find success
• Have a proven track record managing and executing marketing campaigns to maximize the value of each customer
• Have knowledge of and comfort with marketing best practices, techniques and tools
• Easily build relationships with other key functions in the company (engineering, product, sales) and collaborate to accomplish shared objectives
• Be a team player with a can-do attitude – someone who looks forward to solving the toughest challenges in a fast-moving, growing business

Responsibilities: 

Plan, coordinate, and execute customer oriented marketing campaigns, online and in print
• Manage a database of existing customers with the focus on maximizing their value
• Evaluate potential business opportunities and manage initiatives to take advantage of them
• Work closely with sales and account team, be ready to test new ways of customer acquisition
• Design and ensure development of necessary data, reports, and infrastructure to ensure detailed analytic testing, tracking and optimization of marketing efforts
• Hands on execution in a start-up environment where you may be a team of 1, slowly building systems.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical skills with focus on measuring and optimizing results
• At least 1-3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas
– Marketing program responsibility including campaign design, execution, and optimization in print and online
– Database marketing responsibility with focus on up sell and cross sell offers delivered through various sales channels
• Hands on operator able to do the work required in a start-up without needing a lot of help
• Knowledge of and experience with basics of marketing project planning, management, and campaign evaluation
• And of course, the basics
– Have a strong track record of success throughout one’s academic and professional career Must be eligible to work in the United States.  Eligibility to work in Canada a plus.
– Committed team player who will do what is right for customers and for Bongarde above all else
– Assumes additional responsibility without being asked.
– Strong writing, presentation and communication skills.
– Bachelor’s degree required.
– Passion for identifying and developing solutions to challenging business problems
– Comfortable with  dynamic business environments and frequent change
– Able to give and receive direction and proactively resolve challenges and issues
– Able to pass the elevator test – would your teammates want to be stuck in an elevator with you for two hours?
