Position: Senior Director of Paid Search Operations
What: The Senior Director of Paid Search Operations will lead a team of search specialists assigned to various regions globally to the Expedia.com brand and be responsible for directing our campaign management activities across our search engine partners.
He/she will have operational responsibility for managing paid search across Expedia/Hotels’s portfolio, spanning geographical regions and multiple lines of business. Reporting into the VP of Global Paid Search, he/she will also work closely with Paid Search Platform and Reporting & Analytics teams, contributing to the proposed feature set and the product roadmap for the in-house for Expedia/Hotels’s paid search interally managed suite of campaign management, reporting and optimization applications.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of Paid Search Operations Managers & Specialists delivering campaign management activities for the Expedia global business.
. Liaise with regional and brand marketing directors to ensure cross-channel coordination, updates to attribution methodology, and agreement on any non-profit maximizing spend overlays and their objectives
. Liaise with Partner Services Group teams to construct a closely-aligned workflow between supply and demand channels and build applications and processes that enhance efficiencies across departments
. Work with the Global Paid Search leadership team to help define strategy and guide the product roadmap for the Paid Search campaign management, optimization and reporting applications
. Identify opportunities to leverage the Paid Search platform to reduce trafficking and manual reporting undertaken by the Paid Search Specialists, to increase focus on optimization and analytical activities
. Define objectives to optimize channel to achieve strategic goals
. Manage and transition agency relationships where appropriate
. Synthesize large quantities of data to provide actionable insights
. Establish and manage senior relationships with internal stakeholders, as well as external stakeholders (such as Expedia’s supply and/or distribution partners)
. Identify potential vendor candidates, negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships
