Draftfcb is a full service agency in Seattle – specializing in digital, and is part of the global Draftfcb network. Our clients include Hewlett-Packard and Providence Regional Medical Center. We are a relatively, small, growing shop that believe in empowering people at all levels to breed pride of ownership. The Front-End Web Developer we seek will work closely with other team members to develop dynamic, interactive websites and software using Flash AS.3, HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX and other related technologies.


Responsibilities
: Translate visual designs into completed HTML pages while adhering to design specifications. Establish and implement front-end structure and standards for specific projects. Work closely with back-end developers to ensure the integrity of the UI throughout the development life cycle. Flash, HTML/XHTML, XML, JavaScript, ActionScript, Fireworks, audio and video editing, DHTML, and CSS. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and resolve bugs where required. Mentor, coach and manage team members. Identify tools, templates, and techniques that evolve existing approaches for the larger Creative Design community at Draftfcb. Active Flash, Flex, Apollo Developer Community involvement. Based on functional specifications, optimize development for User Experience. Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and be able to promote their usage as project needs dictate.
Requirements: 6+ years of industry experience and affinity towards emerging technologies such as mobile apps. Expert knowledge of hand-coded HTML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, and DOM. Strong experience in developing standards-based, CSS-driven, table-less layouts. Extensive knowledge of Javascript/UI libraries and their use in implementing AJAX solutions. Solid understanding of SEO and accessibility issues as they relate to the front-end. Strong graphics manipulation/optimization skills using Photoshop, Illustrator. etc..
