What: The Seattle Sounders are the most innovative club in Major League Soccer and are looking for a highly capable software engineer to help design, develop, and participate in key club initiatives as part of a growing Technology department. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about soccer and has a strong background developing highly-scalable applications and services. The Senior Application Developer will be primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of customized software and applications that support the Seattle Sounders Fan Experience and the internal operations of the club. Responsibilities:
Design and implement mobile applications using a variety of client and server technologies, languages, and protocols
Architect, design, and implement internal solutions to business problems that span customer relationship management, data integration and reporting, marketing, ticket sales and service, etc.
Architect, design, and implement applications for use by season ticket members and general fans to receive news and information, manage their tickets, manage their engagement with the club, and receive other benefits and services
Proactively work to enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement
Perform technical analysis and fully document software designs, specifications, and implementations
Deliver feature-rich, scalable and high-performance solutions for multiple platforms and devices
Perform strategic planning and coordination of a roadmap including time/cost estimates
Requirements:
Flexible and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently while meeting aggressive deadlines
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and a willingness to learn and implement new technologies
Support end users when issues arise
Able to own individual projects as well as work on a team
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly communicate technical subject matter to non-technical personnel

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field with a strong technical background.
5-7 years of professional experience developing high-impact software and solutions
