What: TCS World Travel is looking for a Designer to join their marketing team. The Designer is responsible for creating and producing marketing, sales & guest services communication materials across the entire customer journey, from pre-trip, during trip and post-trip experiences. This includes multi-platform, multi-device, multi-medium programs (print collateral, direct mail brochures, advertising, digital — web, social, email, Sales materials, PR, event, guest content, documentation).

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Art Director to design and deliver company collateral. Serve as brand steward for design.
  • Collaborate proactively with VP, Content, Marketing Ops, Brand, Agencies/Suppliers & Vendors to build design direction for all marketing platforms including Web, video, tablet, social media, etc.
  • Designs, maintains, evolves and executes the brand design, look-n-feel in line with TCS brand guidelines across a wide variety of B2C and B2B mediums including:
    • marketing (print, digital, content)
    • sales (collateral, proposals, events),
    • employees communications,
    • guest relations (documentation, enrichment/training, amenities, surprise & delight)
  • Understands and champions branding, layout, color theory and typography in both print and digital media
  • Informed by client briefs and a solid understanding of client deliverables, takes responsibility from concept to completion on time and within the given budget.
  • Insert changes and revise copy in documents to produce error-free proofs. Create electronic and hard copy archive for all projects.
  • Conduct image research and manage contracts and budgets with stock agencies
  • Create design solutions within the constraints of the print & digital
  • Incorporate current trends and innovations in luxury and travel markets through new concepts, use of graphics and text that would enhance assigned projects.
  • Research and execute against best practices in print and online design, including information design and online usability and user experience
  • Use team collaboration tools like traffic coordinator & JIRA (web) to communicate project status to the team and ensure the timely development of materials
  • Lead graphic design and production of print marketing materials, including text edits to print brochures, preparing print pre-press files, performing overall quality control, managing the process with the printer and internal project owner, as well as cataloging and archiving design assets. Build mechanical layouts and possess a solid knowledge of pre-press file organization.
  • Create CDs or electronic files for shipment to printer or FTP upload as needed. Work with printer to select paper and finalize print specifications
  • Help digital designer with Web, emails, and mobile/iPad Work with InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite and other Mac and PC computer software to make layout (graphic and text) revisions, editing photos and vector drawing.
  • Develop, draw, design, and edit maps using Adobe Illustrator or other image software
  • Prepare 100% error-free files (type corrections, alignment and positioning of type) for print media.
  • Build technically precise files for Web press, sheet fed press, and print on demand.
  • Produce deliverables across platforms including Web graphics, e-mails, mobile applications, logos, video, graphics and illustrations, iPad interface, Web transactional and landing pages, etc.
  • Define the UI/UX look and feel and functionality for Web sites, digital footprints, and mobile including site navigation, information design, usability, flow of transactional screens, infographics, and Web graphics
  • Full understanding of browser/platform constraints as they affect online design. Work with information architects to produce online deliverables that are effective and usable and follow best practices for information design and user-centered design
  • Strong technical knowledge of how web-based technologies apply to web design such as HTML, Flash, CSS, JavaScript, Macromedia and Adobe, and AJAX. It would be an added advantage to have knowledge in Web design standards, DTP and Web layouts.
  • Use of Macromedia and Adobe should not be a problem as well as coding by hand using HTML and PHP

 Requirements:

  • BA Degree. Courses of Study: Graphic Design, Imaging, Production, Digital/Web design or related.
  • 5+ yrs of work experience as graphic designer and production in multi-media agency, ad agency or studio (print &/or digital by role need).
  • Knowledge of, ability, and desire to work in a design environment that adapts creative across:
    • hardware (desktop, mobile, tablet),
    • software (Ios, Android, Creative Suite/InDesign, digital asset management systems, CMS)
    • mediums (Print, web, digital, social, video)
  • Fluency in current graphic design practices and technology and Web production software, such as
  • Creative Suite (Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, Adobe InDesign), Flash, HTML, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office.
  • Proven expertise in information and graphic design for the following platforms: Interactive/Web, social media, print materials, video, content-rich sites and materials, transactional Web sites, and graphic design
  • Knowledge of direct marketing, guest relations, including knowledge of best practices, procedures and operations related to a database-marketing environment
  • Must be detail oriented, have exceptional typography and layout skills as well as a familiarity with web design and graphics, print specifications and creating production ready mechanicals.
  • Experience managing photo selection, stock vendors, and freelancers
  • Experience in advertising campaigns (direct mail, digital, print & email) campaigns
  • Communicate and interact well with peers, supervisors and client representatives (be a team player)
  • Ability to effective manage multiple of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Guide and mentor production artists, suppliers, agencies and vendors
  • Act as a leader and motivator to convey the vision and values of the company
  • Model positive team building and collaborative communication
