What: PurpleWall is an online platform for interior designs, disrupting the way homes are decorated, room by room. By connecting talented designers directly to the virtual doorsteps of residents looking to style their rooms, we break open the possibilities for transforming a space.
PurpleWall is interior design re-imagined as a completely online collaborative experience between a homeowner and her chosen designer.
We are currently looking to fill the role of Director of Interior Design Strategy with a self-motivated and energetic individual who won’t be afraid of challenging the status quo and eager to making an impact to PurpleWall’s growth around the world. This is for a full-time position based in Kirkland, WA.
Responsibilities:
• Be the voice of interior designers at the executive table
• Contribute by refining our Interior Design Online strategy and execution
• Recruitment of interior designers to PurpleWall, across the country
• Incorporate interior design knowledge into website’s user experience
• Nurture relationships between designer and homeowners, setting expectations and ensuring satisfaction for both sides
• Build partnership with online retailers or other type of partners
• Collaborate with the CMO to continually build PurpleWall’s social presence
Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years in residential interior design
• Entrepreneurial attitude and approach with demonstrated strong design experience, communication and organizational skills
• Proven experience with in-home consultative design service or related to home furnishings and décor industry
• Ability to work successfully with other professionals in a collaborative work environment
• Experience in 3D Rendering software such as AutoCAD, Revit and/or SketchUp
• Graphic design (Adobe Suite) is a plus
