Position: Software Engineer II
Where: Seattle
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing applications using web technologies for current and future Nintendo platforms, authoring unit tests and prototyping with HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
- Develops, writes, tests, debugs and implements code. Writes clear, maintainable, portable code. Applies professional expertise to review, analyze and test products under development as a contributing member of a production team, to ensure delivery of Nintendo’s high standard of quality and timeliness.
- Works in a team environment and has an eagerness to learn and advance their skills as a developer.
- Fast-paced environment with fluctuating production requirements; may be necessary to change specific duties, projects or schedule on short notice; weekend and holiday work may be required; domestic and international travel may be required.
- Participation in company-wide activities such as product review, analysis and testing as required.
Requirements:
- 2+ years professional experience with client-side web application development.
- Excellent knowledge of the latest in HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
- Passion for learning and working with bleeding edge web-technologies.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns.
Additional Experience Desired:
- Experience developing web applications for mobile and/or embedded devices.
- Experience with C++, ActionScript, TypeScript, Python or a desire to learn.
- Working knowledge or experience with WebGL and/or Canvas 2D APIs.
Education:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent education and experience.
