Tommy Bahama is looking for a qualified Web Designer to join their efforts to create an island lifestyle that inspires the world to relax.

Responsibilities: Responsible for designing individually and as a team creative team member direct-to-consumer email campaigns, online advertising as well as all aspects of company website in conjunction.  Design within defined brand strategies utilizing expert Photoshop skills with a keen eye for design details.  Collaborate within the creative environment to bring new and engaging ideas to add to the overall look and feel of the website.  Independently manage personal creative timelines and workflow that meet deadlines for the group initiative.  Additional skills with CSS, Flash and basic HTML are a huge plus. Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn and produce are key attributes of this individual. Also must:

  • Operates effectively as a member of the creative team.
  • Also operates effectively as an individual for quick turnaround of concepts and final deliverables.
  • Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and in high quality.
  • Responsible for the design of emails, advertising, web pages, some multimedia.
  • Demonstrates creative and technical skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in creative and technical environments.

Requirements:

  • BA university degree or relevant design degree required.
  • 2-4 years of web design and development experience is required.
  • Solid understanding of usability.
  • Front-end development experience (ability to build proofs-of-concept).
  • Practical experience in development of HTML, Flash, CSS, graphics creation with Photoshop, Illustrator, (Adobe Creative Suite), multimedia creation with Flash, ActionScript, (Macromedia Studio).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Desire and willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.
