Position: Java Software Engineer

What: We’re an ambitious young startup working in a home office on Mercer Island. Our company currently owns and in the future will sell new top level domains. We will be offering new SAAS products that accompany every domain name purchased from our Registry. [Example: When someone buys example.forum from a registrar like GoDaddy, we spin up a copy of our product instantly at www.example.forum. Super simple and effective.]

Responsibilities:
We’re looking for an engineer to build out a software-as-a-service top level domain. As a domain registry most companies only sell web addresses, we are different from .com, .net, .edu, etc. We sell .feedback domains. Large and small companies are signing up for our domains and those domains come with a platform to rate and give feedback on anything. We are designing a platform for engagement simlair to Yelp but better in every way.

Requirements:
– A professional level mastery of Java/Spring, MySQL, Bootstrap, Backbone, EmberJS, jQuery, and Redis. Bonus if you have some Rails.
– Familiarity with Docker/EC2
– Strong architectural experience building frameworks and reusable code libraries
– Linux and Amazon Web Services, including automation using Bash
– MySQL database server and deep SQL experience
– Experience with Javascript, HTML 5, CSS3-based web applications, running both locally in mobile apps and remotely in the cloud
