Responsibilities:
- Developmental position that performs technical analysis, design and system development on project related tasks of moderate scope and impact using appropriate technologies to support department and company objectives.
- Typically works as part of team with more experienced Engineers and Sr. Engineers under direct supervision.
- Works with team members to define the functional and technical needs of an organization and recommend solutions.
- Assesses available technologies to meet needs, and then define technical specifications and designs on tasks of moderate scope and impact.
- Works with other engineers to develop and modifying technology systems, addressing functional, performance, security, quality, operations and monitoring needs.
- Creates detailed test scenarios, performs testing and analyzes results.
- Documents all technology changes through appropriate change control.
- Clearly communicates the status of the work, progress and obstacles to the team.
- Requires staying current on engineering approaches, technologies and technique.
- Ensures work is completed in such a way to comply with established regulations and other internal controls.
- Provides on-call support as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Typically requires one to three years of related experience in various system development technologies, patterns and practices.
- Progressively developing expertise, applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
- Experience working on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrates good knowledge and understanding of core engineering concepts and methodologies.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Results orientation.
- Ability to appropriately prioritize work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, confidential environment.
- Normally requires instruction on day-to-day work and requires detailed instruction on new assignments.
- Normal office environment with moderate noise levels.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, regular walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing and reaching.
- Ability to perform consistent PC work
