As we continue to move more of our business into the cloud, we need to add a Development Operations Manager to our Engineering Operations and Practices team. This role will manage our Production Operations on a global level and report into the Senior Director of Engineering Operations and Practices.

The challenge of this role will be working with several teams in a variety of time zones to plan, design, develop, implement, monitor and improve our production operations. You will do this by leading a culture of continuous improvement work on a team that brings best practices to our continuous integration. You can expect to spend 60% of your time managing your team and 40% of your time getting our product through delivery. This is a hands on role that will require; a combination of strategy and tactical execution, the ability to communicate up and down the organization, and strong collaboration with a variety of stakeholders (both internal and external).

Responsibilities:

Establish proactive monitoring of our production products and services
Build on redundancy, back-up and restore strategies
Further develop OpsView at a platform level, internal automated UI at application,
Assist internal stakeholders (e.g. product teams) develop and get the most from our production environments
Review, recommend, and if appropriate, implement industry certification (ISO SEAC 16 NIST
Collaborate with the product teams on continuous and automated deployments
Put in place succession planning and skill development within the Production Operations Team
Maintain a firm understanding of production/maintenance costs as well as P&L responsibility
Enjoy the opportunity for international travel for periods of up to 2 weeks per trip.
Be on call as an escalation point when required

Requirements:

You drive for quality
Possess 4+years’ experience in a similar role, having played a key role in the implementation of a DevOp’s culture and standards that are aligned with a recognized certification such as ISO27001
Have experience in a mixed server environment, to include Microsoft System Center
Experience evaluating the use of cloud based infrastructure such as AWS or Azure and O365
Experience with current monitoring tools
Experience working with global teams in different time zones
Demonstrated technical leadership and people management
Solid experience with scripting with PowerShell and BASH; also infrastructure automation tools like Chef / Puppet, and containering tools as well
Degree qualified, and ITIL v3 experience desirable
