Voice Personality Workshop with Microsoft’s Stephanie Blucker

November 20, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Women in Voice Seattle Workshop: Designing Personalities for Conversational Agents with Stephanie Blucker, Writer at Microsoft

Join us for a workshop with Stephanie Blucker, Writer at Microsoft. At this event, Stephanie will cover how she approaches developing a personality for CUX/VUX. There will also be a breakout session where you’ll have the opportunity to develop your own CUX/VUX personality.

Note: We’re asking for a $5-10 donation at the door for attendees to support costs related to putting on local events including hosting the Meetup.com page, organizing the event, nametags, pens, supplies, etc. We will accept cash and Venmo at the door.

Why the donation? Women in Voice does not have the mission of making money, we just don’t want our organizers to be in the red while they volunteer!

Location: 33rd Floor of Create33 (999 3rd Avenue)

Bio:

Stephanie is a conversational UX writer for Microsoft, where she crafts personalities for conversational agents and the voices that go with them. She currently leads a project called Personality Chat, which was honored by Fast Company with an Innovation by Design award. Previously, she was part of the editorial team that crafted personality principles and conversational content for Cortana, Microsoft’s digital personal assistant. She’s a second-year master’s student in the University of Washington’s Human Centered Design and Engineering program. Outside work, you might find her reading, working on a play or novel, or running or hiking with her 75-pound dog.
