What: The Trader of the Year awards recognize locally-based companies that have contributed to the expansion of Washington State’s international trade through demonstrated success, industry leadership, innovation, and service to the community. In appreciation of the fact that business excellence comes in a variety of forms, the emerging trader of the year award specifically recognizes small to mid-size Washington State businesses for their contributions to the economy of Washington State.

This year’s awards will be presented on November 13, 2014, at an evening reception at the World Trade Center Seattle, with remarks by Norman Schenk, Vice President of Global Customer Policy and Public Affairs at United Parcel Service, also recently appointed as the new chair of the International Chamber of Commerce Commission on Customs and Trade Facilitation.
