What: Break away from your desk to visit an amazing studio and listen to local design leaders present original perspectives that will inspire, shift or interrupt your relationship with the design space. After the presentation there will be a chance to ask questions and pick the brains of some of Seattle’s brightest design minds. The March lunch will be hosted by SAM who will discuss:
The Seattle Art Museum: evolution of brand, revolution of website.
The Seattle Art Museum (SAM) is considered the premier center for visual arts in the Northwestern United States. SAM’s website gets 180,000 unique visits each month – 6,000 per day – and attracts members, visitors and educators, each with their own explore and discover user scenario. In spring 2014, SAM is launching a new website that reflects a completely new brand and aesthetic for the museum. Come hear the story of how this brand evolution and web revolution happened.
Who:
Presenter
Kevin Schroer is the Creative Director at the Seattle Art Museum, where he leads the creative team in the development of all brand and marketing materials for the museum, to support all major exhibitions, events, and environments. Prior to the museum, Kevin held the role of Creative Director for REI where he lead all creative development in support of marketing, private label, retail environments, and rei.com. Before REI, Kevin had a 15-year career in advertising and design firms developing brands and campaigns for clients such as Microsoft, Bank of America, Intel, and Kodak.
