Preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse… And other disasters, AWB
When: Wednesday, March 26, 2014, 08:00 am – 04:00 pm
Where: Eisenhower Carlson PLLC, 1201 Pacific Ave., Tacoma
What: Have you ever noticed how the ones who survive the Zombie attack in the movies are those who are prepared? The same thing goes for any disaster. Whether it’s a power outage, severe storm, wildfire or earthquake, your company must have a plan.
How does the business owner figure out what kind of disaster will affect their company? Is there any help out there to get ready for earthquakes or mass fires? What is the Federal Government going to do? How about the State?
This one-day class will cover those issues and more. Participants will walk out with a 295 page book on Disaster Preparedness. The day begins with a discussion of what type of disasters can be expected and how the emergency management system is organized. Establishing a business plan is the next topic covered and participants should be prepared to use the provided template to develop the Continuity of Operations Plan for their business. A discussion of mitigation techniques that can be used to minimize damage and business interruptions precedes the discussion of recovery and how to get back to business when the disaster ends.
