Net Neutrality Town Hall

July 7, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

On July 7th, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell will host FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn for a town hall discussion moderated by Michael Schultzer, CEO of the Washington Technology Industry Association, on how rolling back net neutrality protections will hurt internet users and Washington’s tech industry. The pair will answer questions about net neutrality and related issues and discuss a way forward. Recently, rules put in place during the Obama Administration protecting a free and open internet have come under attack.

AGENDA:

10:00 AM – Doors open for check-in
11:00 AM – Event starts

12:30 PM – Event concludes

Q&A:
At check-in, attendees who would like to ask a question will be given a raffle ticket. When Q&A begins, tickets will be drawn at random. Attendees with the corresponding tickets will ask a question.
If your number is called, please make your way to the nearest aisle as quickly as possible. A staff member will be waiting with a microphone.
We expect to be at full capacity. To make sure as many people are allowed to ask a question as possible, please ask only one question and try to keep your question brief.
If you don’t have an opportunity to ask a question, don’t worry! We will have stations set up to collect your questions when the event concludes. Every question will receive a response from Senator Cantwell’s office.
