What: This course will teach you how to start and grow your business. During seven, 3-hour sessions, participants will learn how to manage, market and finance their businesses, with a focus on writing a business plan. Participants will also enjoy networking with other people who are starting or running businesses.
Session One: Planning (2/23)
What is an entrepreneur? What does it mean to be a business owner? Feasibility and business planning. Key components of a business plan, leadership and business ethics.
Who: Shawna Sherman finished an Executive MBA at University of Washington in 2012 and has helped several product and service companies launch including cured meats and salami all the way to birthing babies. Her strength is ideation and market research to launch, particularly helping clients break through barriers blocking success. In 2015 Shawna is looking forward to leading a visioning workshop in the desert southwest.
