 5 key points in preparing a successful exit for your company, TiE Seattle

What: Learn how to prepare your startup / company for a successful exit. How soon do you start preparing for an exit? Are you emotionally ready to sell? Who do you need on your team to drive a successful sale ? Watch out for the gotchas! Vidur Luthra has successfully built and exited two businesses in the recent past, one to a 7 billion dollar advertising behemoth and another to one of the largest IT consulting and staffing companies in the US. He will share his journey and key learnings. What are some of the decisions/challenges one faces getting ready to sell, what to expect and how to deliver on a successful sale.

The event check-in will start at 5.30 pm, Speaker session starts promptly at 6pm, followed by a networking session at 7.00 pm for entrepreneurs, investors, advisors and everyone interested in the startup community. Food included. One beverage included for TiE members only.

Who: Vidur is a serial entrepreneur, having built three companies. Two of which he has successfully exited. Prior to going down the entrepreneurial route he worked for several years at Microsoft in different capacities including running marketing for the billion dollar plus MSN.com, leading the efforts to build the Windows client business in the emerging and strategic BRIC markets and developing and building out the enterprise and channel partners for mobile devices. Prior to Microsoft, Vidur worked at Accenture (Andersen Consulting) and was involved in several re-engineering efforts at large corporations.

Vidur has an MBA from Cornell, A Masters in Economics and a Bachelor in Computer Engineering from BITS Pilani, India. He lives in Bellevue with his wife, 3 kids and 2 dogs. He plays terrible golf and pretends to work out in his spare time.
