The Tech Alliance’s annual State of Technology Luncheon is a not-to-be-missed event that attracts an exclusive group of more than 800 of the region’s top business, education, research, and government officials. This year we are thrilled to welcome Brad Tilden, CEO of Alaska Airlines, as the featured speaker at our luncheon. He also serves as the chairman, president, and CEO of the Alaska Air Group and chairman of Horizon Air. The combined airlines have 23,000 employees, more than 300 aircraft, and fly to 115 destinations throughout North America and Costa Rica, serving 46 million guests.Alaska Airlines has a long history of innovation. In 1995, they were the first U.S. airline to sell an airplane ticket online. The following year, they pioneered satellite-based GPS technology to fly more safely and precisely. More recently, they have partnered with NASA to develop aircraft technology that can choose the best routes for pilots in real time and with Skylights to launch an in-flight virtual reality headset on some flights.
