Mobile App Helps Seattle Residents ‘Un-Deck the Halls’

holidaystorage If Seattle residents hear a ‘click, click, click’ this week, it’s not Santa’s reindeer. More than likely it’s holiday-weary neighbors using their new smart phones and tablets to clean the house.

Storrage, a rapidly-growing provider of self-storage home pick-up and delivery to the Seattle-area, today launched a new holiday app – called Un-Deck the Halls – that makes it easier than ever for Seattle-area residents to conveniently pack and store their holiday decorations ranging from strings of lights, artificial trees and ornaments. Using a simple app from their smart phone or tablet, consumers can have storage containers delivered to their door and, once filled with decorations, have picked-up and stored until next holiday season. And from now until January 4, 2015 new customers can take advantage of this special promotion for only $1. That includes a high quality container and ornament tray to keep.

“The week after Christmas is when the holiday hangover sets in for a lot of our customers who need to disassemble and store their holiday gear,” said Storrage CEO and founder Terry Drayton. “We simplify the whole process of putting things away — and also give them more closet and garage space — by storing their decorations off-site until the next holiday season.”

While the company stores a wide range of items for their customers – including seasonal clothes and over-sized items including bicycles and kayaks – holiday decorations are the company’s number-one most stored items.

To sign-up for the promotion, customers need to: download the free Storrage app to their iPhone, iPad or Android device; set-up an account; enter a day, time and location to have containers dropped off at their residence or business; enter a day, time and location to have them picked-up; and pay $1 for the first month’s storage of each container.  The monthly cost to store each container is then $4 per month. More details on the promotion can be viewed online at: www.storrage.com/undeck-the-halls.

Storrage doesn’t require contracts or commitments. All information in private and only seen by the customer. All items handled by Storrage are stored at a secure, restricted access, climate-controlled warehouse that’s monitored 24 hours a day. Storrage picks up and delivers in prominently identified vans staffed by uniformed drivers. All staff are bonded to ensure  professionalism, security and safety of customer items. Storrage also offers access to insurance on each item at a cost of $5 per month for items valued at $500 or less, $9 per month for $1,000 or less and $10 per month for $2,000.

Storrage provides service, usually next day, to more than 50 zip codes and covers most of King County. A complete listing of zip codes served by Storrage can be found at the company’s website.

Based in Seattle, Storrage was founded in 2013 by serial entrepreneur Terry Drayton to meet the increasing need for low-cost, high-convenience off site storage for consumers including urban apartment and condo dwellers.  More information on the company can be viewed online at www.storrage.com
