Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for the team and take ownership of projects
- Website development/Web UI development
- Content Management Systems (CMS) development and database development
- Maintenance and improvement of current sites
- Apply SEO to all site development
- Quick turnaround times on projects and willing to go the extra mile to deliver quality work on time
- Professional attitude with excellent communication skills
Requirements:
At least 5-7 years of Web development experience on various open source technologies listed below (but not limited to):
- Must have a degree in Computer Engineering/Science or equivalent
- Expert in PHP, PHP frameworks like Code Igniter and JavaScript
- Worked with WordPress – developed themes
- Should have experience with another programming language like Python or C++
- Excellent understanding of HTML/CSS and AJAX
- Experienced in MySQL and the SQL language
- Experienced in jQuery (plug-ins as well)
- OOP concepts need to be clear on the implementation side
- Excellent knowledge of Web Design and CMS development
- Cross browser issues and testing
- Knowledge of GIT or CVS for version control
Preferred Skills:
- AWS (Amazon) services knowledge and how they work, Web APIs from Yahoo and Google (others would be good too), Shell scripting on Unix/Linux, Ruby on Rails
