Successful candidate will provide team direction, assign projects in addition to other personnel management related duties.  Ensure team members know what is expected of them and that blocking issues are resolved quickly. Lead and enable team to find appropriate solutions per project/systems requirements. Assist in maintaining an atmosphere of innovation.

Lead collaborative work with team, IS, MarComm and organization to ensure content strategy best practices are applied to priority digital media content initiatives: Cross-platform strategies meet business and user needs, have appropriate and measurable KPIs, and evaluation of initiative success and cross-platform course adjustment, as necessary.

Manage strategy development and implementation of content, information architecture, design user experience and web production for key MarComm objectives and priorities.
Operations Integrity: Responsible for the relationship with Information Services (IS). Work with key members of IS to establish direction and support for web infrastructure and architecture Ensure websites are available, fully functional and operationally sound within established Service and Operating Level Agreements (SLA).  Ensure web infrastructure performance is meeting standards. Responsible for supporting web updates for seattlechildrens.org within SLA and fostering collaborative relationship with web services, Marcomm, Hospital, Research Institute and Foundation.

Manage evaluation of overall health of content on seattlechildrens.org: ensure content ownership roles/responsibilities are clear, lead content owner governance (identify and remediate redundant, outdated and trivial content on seattlechildrens.org,develop content maintenance plans, and refine/archive content as appropriate

Resource Management: Lead the provision and forecasting of required web development resources to meet goals. This includes capacity planning, task management, resource management and other tools and processes as they relate to technical project management. Responsible for budget maintenance of web development projects. Manage relations with external vendors
Project Leadership: Lead and coordinate the implementation of technical web initiatives, web projects and web related operational support. Manage an overall schedule of web development projects and prioritize them appropriately.  Work with key stakeholders to communicate projects goals, risks, impacts, and status updates to project teams at all levels of the enterprise. Responsible for overall content strategy for seattlechildrens.org.

Requirements: Required Education/Experience:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.  – 7+ years of experience coordinating and managing web developers and projects.- Experience leading a team of people, including direct reports, cross departmental team members and  external vendors and agencies.- Proven experience utilizing SCRUM/AGILE and SDLC (Waterfall) methodology for web development.- Project & Program Management Experience.- Experience developing, innovating and maintaining web sites, web applications, large-scale digital marketing projects and initiatives.
Required Credentials:- n/a

Preferred:- Prior healthcare industry experience.- Experience with enterprise-level Content Management Systems (e.g. Ektron) and CMS producer governance and management.- Experience using .NET and PHP language frameworks. – Savvy at working with key stakeholders to set priorities and gather technical business requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: – Must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently and document project status and progress.- Proven experience with capacity planning and level loading.- Team management experience- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to deal well with change and/or ambiguity.Familiarity with use of Agile methodology Proven ability to translate business requirements/requests into technical/functional specs and project plans.- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to deal well with change and/or ambiguity.- Familiarity with web development languages and authoring tools.- Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.- Exceptional time management and communication skills.- Self-starter and independent worker.- Detail and process oriented.- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.- Knowledge of complex project scheduling, budgeting, and ROI calculations.- Knowledge of web technologies and adherence to web industry best practices.

Physical Demands: SEDENTARY – Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
