Marketing Design Manager
The Marketing Design Manager will be responsible for the direct management of the marcom design team and will act as a hand-on art director for our marketing and communications channels. This role is responsible for ongoing styleguide development, distribution and education, including the effectiveness of its use.

The ideal candidate will be able to function as a strong leader as well as a collaborator working in cross-functional teams. Successful candidate will be proactive, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities Include

    • • Creates the overarching visual strategy for our marketing brand(s) and continually reviews it to ensure it stays current and relevant to the intended audience
    • • Works closely with creative director (CD) and marketing manager to create, implement and maintain visual brand and campaign design guidelines
    • • Proactively brings creative ideas and solutions to marcom managers instead of waiting for requests to be submitted
    • • Responsible for the development and presentation of concepts and moodboards for larger projects
    • • Actively works on assigned projects as designer and art director
    • • Provides timely and concise feedback and art direction in both verbal and written format
    • • Manages, mentors and inspires the marcom design group by leading by example and providing ongoing learning, stretch opportunities and consistent performance feedback
    • • Hires and oversees marcom design contractors according to the organization’s process and policies
    • • Defines tasks and resources needed for new requests, then works with creative project coordinator (CPC) to maintain schedule for the duration of the job
    • • Supports CD and project managers (PM) with resource planning and hiring by appraising duration and skills needs for outlined tasks or deliverables
    • • Speaks up when project scope or timelines are at risk and provides alternative solutions to challenges
    • Other duties as assigned



7+ years’ experience working as an art director in a marketing design environment

3+ years’ experience managing direct reports

Stellar online portfolio required to be considered for position showcasing work relevant to position

    •  • Experience developing and implementing effective design guidelines that work for a variety of media, including digital, video and both 2D and 3D print.
    • • Extensive experience with creating visual brands and styleguides for brands and marketing campaigns
    • • Highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
              • Thorough understanding of overall web site design, best practices and industry standards
