Expedia Media Solutions is dedicated to building innovative media partnerships for travel advertisers enabling them to use Expedia’s network of leading travel brands and global sites. With a growing product portfolio offering a multitude of advertising and sponsorship opportunities, our Media Solutions team at Expedia has created a viable marketing platform for advertising partners to reach the 78 million worldwide monthly unique visitors that visit Expedia Inc. sites.

The team is looking for an entrepreneurial, analytical and creative product manager to help us optimize revenue and build a suite of insights for our advertising customers. You will set the strategic direction for producing and communicating advertiser and business performance, partner with engineering, BI architects and data scientists to source essential data, and implement revenue optimization tests based on advanced quantitative analysis. You will also work closely with UX, operations and sales to draw out information and build intuitive advice to make life easier for our customers, the global sales organization and the global supply organization. This will include developing and optimizing dashboard reporting for executive, sales and external audiences.

Because this role is inherently cross-functional, you will need to use your collaboration skills to influence other teams and achieve successful outcomes for the business. You will need to demonstrate a bias to action, and the ability to juggle many small projects successfully while maintaining a strategic view of the Media Solutions business.


  • Establish product vision, business goals, and product roadmap, taking an iterative approach.
  • Work with BI developers, analytics managers, data scientists and UX teams to solve problems, uncover insights and communicate them in an actionable and intuitive manner
  • Balance trade-offs between cost, time to market, strategic alignment and return on investment.
  • Identify new opportunities and work with stakeholders to come up with creative and mutually beneficial solutions to business problems.
  • Actively provide sales with product support required to win new business and know how to turn sales requests into sellable products that simultaneously enhance the customer experience.
  • Engage with engineering teams to plan and deploy product features.
  • Present strategy and roadmap to internal partners at a senior level.
  • Be a tireless advocate for Media Solutions interests and values in every interaction throughout the organization.

Skills and Requirements:

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in online advertising and/or product development
  • Experience in travel or web technology is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting across all levels of the organization and with external partners
  • Strong eye for detail, with a natural tendency to dig deep to thoroughly understand an issue before recommending a solution
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a demonstrated ability to use numbers and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes; experience with financial modeling and statistics is an advantage
  • Proven ability to work with multiple internal organizations requiring clear communication, evangelism and compromise
  • Experience working directly with UX, sales, engineering, analytics and operations teams
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
