Position: Software Engineer
Where: Seattle
What: We are looking for a software engineer to become a valued member of our small Product Development team and to start making a difference immediately.
As a software engineer at BrandVerity, you’ll be actively involved in shaping the work you do and collaborate with account managers, salespeople, and customers to create a product that provides solutions across problem spaces.
Responsibilities:
– Storing and retrieving big data sets for a broad range of use cases
– Implementing sophisticated algorithms to filter
– Designing directed crawls that sift out relevant information from the internet
– Creating software intelligent enough to work around abuser tactics
– Scaling our system as our user base grows
– Creating intuitive user interfaces that encompass our customers’ workflows
We’re looking for a quick learner who has the foundations to easily adapt to our stack. Experience with Python, AWS, and non-relational data storage are certainly a huge plus, but we’re more than happy to mentor you if you don’t happen to have that.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience/training
– 2 years of software development experience (but don’t let this put you off if you’re an excited new grad)
– Excellent communication skills
– An enthusiasm for learning and solving problems
For background, we almost always code in Python (it’s a versatile tool) and use a wide variety of services on Amazon Web Services such as S3, SQS, Elasticache, EC2 including autoscaling and many more. We use a variety of data stores depending on scale and query requirements including MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB and S3 at large scales.
