At AI2, Software Engineers will be working with algorithms, large-scale processing, and research problems on a daily basis, and will also have the ability to contribute and engage in a variety of other areas critical to our mission. These include opportunities to lead select engineering projects, work with management to develop the long-term vision and short-term deliverables for AI2, and take a leading role in overseeing and implementing software systems supporting AI2’s research.
Requirements:
Applicants for Software Engineer (junior and senior) at AI2 should have excellent software engineering skills and ideally a demonstrated foundation in several of the specific areas mentioned above. However, we also understand that most people we hire will need to learn some of our tools and methodologies, so we are also extremely interested in skilled engineers who learn quickly. We value efficient code, automation, and new approaches to software development. We are looking for engineers who are comfortable working in a small organization with shifting specs. Experience working in a research environment is a plus, but all applicants should be team players with an interest in new approaches to software development.
