Responsibility:
o Help design, engineer and support a hybrid cloud environment, running on OpenStack and public cloud providers.
o Help design, update and implement our network architecture to scale rapidly with our production needs and provide dial-tone service levels to our applications.
o Collect and analyze data and define network capacity models and performance metrics.
o Use tools such as Extrahop, Graphite and others to identify and resolve issues before they happen.
o Work with application teams to recommend and assist with application security enhancements.
o Contribute to the design, implementation and ongoing management of the corporate network
o Work on awesome projects like building out a large scale (100+ compute node) OpenStack cluster, rolling out new systems, and integrating with our Kubernetes platform.
o Be heavily involved in infrastructure automation using Chef, as well as build and configure systems.
Requirements:
o Top notch skills with Linux or UNIX systems and related protocols/software (especially with the TCP/IP stack) with 7+ years’ experience.
o In depth experience with Cisco or Juniper switches, routers and firewalls.
o Highly proficient with network troubleshooting, performance tuning techniques, network packet capture and analysis.
o Experience with Openstack – Openvswitch and Neutron networking in particular.
o A command of Linux kernel features like troubleshooting, network stack tuning, and security.
o Experience with Open Source monitoring and metrics solutions such as Nagios, Zenoss, and Graphite would be very handy.
o At least some experience with configuration management such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible.
o Programming aptitude in Ruby, Perl, Java, Python, etc.
o A bachelors degree in IT or related field
