You don’t just know a product feature set present, past and future, you also understand your target user and get in her mind to solve her most pressing problems. Being a program manager is all about delivering the best possible customer value with the resources you have in a given timeframe, and your expertise is working with engineering teams and business leadership to make the right tradeoffs without sacrificing user experience. You strive to deliver value often, as each release is like a gift you want to share with the world. You seek to test every feature before your users and look forward to analytics data once a feature is released to understand user behavior and drive change.
This role consists of 70% product management and 30% project management.  Success in this role means being both strategic and tactical.

Responsibilities:

  • Own, manage, prioritize product backlog
  • Define what success looks like in a measurable way and ensure success is met on delivery
  • Establish product roadmap for a specific program
  • Define functionality by working with development leads and Point Inside leadership
  • Live and breathe the product, understand your users and be a customer advocate
  • Work with business, engineering and executive teams to define functionality and timelines
  • Drive toward repeatable wins through continuous improvements
  • Work with multiple engineering teams to deliver projects
  • Lead projects from inception through release
  • Ensure quality
  • Act as scrum master as required
  • Help coordinate across teams

Requirements: 

  • Outstanding product leadership with an opinion on the right way to build products
  • Demonstrated ability to read between the lines and translate customer needs to successful products
  • Ability to energize others on product
  • Excellent communication
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong track record of defining and delivering on feature sets
  • 5+ years of related product and project management experience
  • Experience working with engineering teams to deliver product
    2+ years working in an Agile environment
  • Experience with wireframes, user experience, user research is a big plus
  • Experience in mobile, location services, retail, analytics, search or big data is a big plus
