Position: Lead Web UX Designer/Programmer
Where: Bellevue
What: DataSphere is looking for a Lead Web UX Designer/Programmer for our LocalSaver.com consumer brand. You will be responsible for helping to design and build a world-class user experience for this up-and-coming local savings website.

Responsibilities:

  • Create the designs and user experience for LocalSaver.com’s desktop and mobile website, and new mobile app
  • Work closely with Program and Product Managers to gather design requirements, using LocalSaver’s brand guidelines as you build out new features and update existing designs to be more consumer-friendly
  • Build wireframes and Photoshop mock-ups of your designs and be comfortable reviewing those designs with our hands-on company leadership
  • Get your hands dirty in the front-end web code, assisting our other front end developers to build in HTML,
  • CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Design and develop HTML email templates
  • Be responsible for maintaining and updating your designs
  • Help to implement A/B testing on new feature requests
  • Be responsible for updating, maintaining, and enforcing LocalSaver.com brand guidelines
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest research on usability guidelines, trends in both mobility and mobile/desktop web, and up-and-coming technologies that could benefit LocalSaver.com

Requirements:

  • A robust portfolio (please submit a link to your portfolio when you apply for this position)
  • 5+ years of user experience and website design
  • 2+ years working on large-scale, commercial catalog sites
  • 1+ year experience designing and developing HTML email templates
  • Experience with generating wireframes and Photoshop mockups
  • Expert-level HTML and CSS, advanced JavaScript, jQuery
  • Solid grounding in UX design theory and brand-building
  • Business-based mind that is capable of tying design decisions to expected metric outcomes
  • Ability to learn complicated systems quickly and maintain the knowledge across a team
  • Ability to interact successfully with cross-functional teams (Sales, Technology, Marketing, Finance) with ease
  • BA/BS degree preferred
