The new UX Director will play a critical role in building and leading a creative team, dedicated to designing beautiful, intuitive, and pleasurable user experiences.
This full-time position reports to the VP of Product at our Seattle office.
Responsibilities:
- Expand, lead, and mentor a team of UX and visual designers
- Ensure consistent and cohesive user experiences across Web, mobile, and marketing
- Lead design reviews and discuss decisions and tradeoffs in an open forum
- Collaborate with PM, Analytics, and Engineering to turn strategic product visions into creative, delightful UX
- Be a “player coach” who’s willing to get your hands dirty
- Utilize A/B testing to drive continual improvements to the site experience
- The unique product designer who’s equally obsessed with visuals and business outcomes
- Comfortable with operating at conceptual levels and down-and-dirty pixel polishing
- A curious and critical thinker, able to articulate complex ideas with humility and humor
- Familiar with the design considerations imposed by technical constraints
- Intensely interested in leveraging user tests and feedback to guide design decisions
- A U.S. citizen or permanent resident and able to work full time in our Seattle offices
Requirements:
- Designing and shipping interfaces for mobile-first users
- Integrating a dynamic UX team into the Agile development workflow
- Building and maintaining pattern libraries in a responsive web product
- Managing web and mobile UX teams (5+ years)
