Full Stack Developer, Bonanza,  August 28

BonanzaWho: Bonanza.com
Position:  Full Stack Developer
Where: Seattle
What:  Bonanza.com is a fast-growing online marketplace of over 15 million items, where sellers offer everything from Isometric sunglasses to Bieber perfume. Our platform empowers more than 30,000 entrepreneurs, and we have a great time building it (check our list of perks below!) Also, we’re a profitable company, so it’s the perfect blend of startup and stable.

Responsibilities:
We’re looking for a full-stack developer with the grit to hack on Ruby/Rails at scale. The Webstores Developer will expand and improve our Bonanza Webstores platform, which launched last year and is a green field of opportunity. Innate interest in e-commerce is recommended, because our philosophy is that developers are most productive when they are given projects that best combine their talents and interests

We’ve already built Bonanza.com into a leading person-to-person marketplace, but we’ll never stop making it even better. Some things you’ll be responsible for might include:
Implement small, medium and large new features

Fix bugs reported by customers and the dev team

Improve the speed and responsiveness of various pages using tricks of the trade

Learn and grow your skills under the guidance of world-class Rails coders on our dev team

Use the website regularly and contribute your own suggestions on how we can make it better

Requirements:

We strongly prefer that you have some Ruby on Rails experience in a production environment. You’ll be working in the full stack, from the mysql database up to jQuery and HTML/CSS. You should be comfortable receiving sometimes-vague bug reports, and having the doggedness to track down repro steps and make an appropriate fix. You should have the empathy to see problems from our customers’ perspectives and keep their needs in mind while building solutions. An innate sense of good UX design would be super helpful in this position.

Because we’re a small and close-knit team, attitude is a critical element in our selection process. The ideal candidate will be able to speak both “geek” and “human,” and will approach problems with a “can-do” attitude.

How: Email Apply Here with your LinkedIn profile and a cover letter and explaining why you think you would be a good fit.
