What: Digital Media Specialist

What: The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the Seattle arts and cultural landscape along with experience in content development and professional social media experience, including analytics. The work requires excellent problem-solving skills, ability to anticipate needs and be able to complete assignments with minimal guidance, and demonstrated reliability. Flexibility is essential.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage online content (including text, images, audio and video) that engages the public.

Manage Office’s social media presence by developing, writing and editing content for the Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts and for social media projects associated with the Office (ARTS, Creative Advantage, SpaceFinder, etc.).

Maintain and manage social media editorial calendar, strategy documents, and analytic reports.

Collaborate and assist in the design and implementation of internal and external communication and outreach strategies.

Collaborate on the management and oversight of content production for STQRY (public art app) and other digital tools.

Requirements:

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (or a combination of education and/or training and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class).

Experience: Requires one year professional experience in public relations, marketing, journalism, or other field involving the preparation and distribution of public information materials.
