Position: Web Developer

Develop software for business solutions and solve technology problems in a collaborative team environment and deliver solutions on time with the expected business impact.
Evaluate the technical feasibility of project requests and participate in technical scope definition. Provide guidance to business partners on feasibility, scalability, and technology best practice. Provide time estimates for project requests.
Partner with software architects and other developers to define application and database architecture and deliver a technical design specification for project requests.
Provide guidance to project management in order to document user stories, technical requirements, user experience and technical flow charts, test plans, and implementation and roll back plans.
Write as-built technical specifications once a business solution is complete.
Transition technical documentation and knowledge to Site Operations Support at the conclusion of projects and provide training that will enable Site Operations Support to support applications.
Partner with technology vendors to develop and implement technology solutions and resolve technical problems.
Participate in unit, regression, and system testing in order to ensure proper application functionality prior to, during, and after application release.
Release new functionality and changes to OnlineShoes.com’s production environment safely to ensure maximum availability of service for OnlineShoes.com’s customers.
Provide top-tier support for technology problems reported by the business.
Research and resolve production application bugs. Prioritize customer impacting bugs appropriately.
Keep up to date on relevant emerging technologies, security threats, and technology best practices. Make recommendations to team members, business partners, and management and incorporate approved recommendations into work.
Adhere to industry and OnlineShoes.com specific coding, change management and payment card industry best practices.
Provide code reviews for development peers and support team members.
Communicate clearly, consistently, and often to OnlineShoes.com’s e-commerce application stakeholders regarding business solutions and technology problems including recurring project status.
Participate in the development team on-call rotation providing off-hours support and website error monitoring.
Knowledge, Skills, and Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Information Systems, or equivalent education and experience.
5 + years of progressively increasing technical software development experience, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
