Position: Web Developer

Where: Seattle

The successful candidate will provide web development for the Seattle Employee Benefits Consulting Practice. The job is based in downtown Seattle. You will develop client- and participant-facing websites as well as internal systems.
IT certifications and study that enhance the employee’s ability to develop their systems are encouraged and rewarded.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance and maintain internal and client-facing web sites and applications
• Data management and manipulation using SQL tools
• Create and update reports and exports
• Manage multiple projects on short timelines

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math or related area of study
• 2 year of web application development experience using .NET
• Experience with VB.NET, C#, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and JQuery
• Understanding of modern web development principles, tools, technologies, and best practices
• Strong SQL database skills including writing stored procedures
• Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
• Ability to interact well with all levels of staff from clerks to senior management
• Must be detail-oriented and have demonstrable experience documenting work.

Preferred Skills:
• Working knowledge of source control systems and deployment methodologies
• Experience with mobile Web development
• Familiar with Web analytics suites (Google Analytics, Omniture Site Catalyst, etc)
• IIS management experience
• Employee Benefits experience is preferred
