What: The Seattle Times, the leading media organization in the Northwest, is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant to join their dynamic Sales & Marketing Team.

Responsibilities: The Senior Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Major/National, Digital, and Local Display Directors, including, but not limited to, preparing and monitoring the departmental budgets, scheduling and managing their calendars, gathering information and preparing reports.   Responsible for overall general office management.

Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills and aptitude, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel; very organized, accurate, and detail oriented; able to work independently on both routine tasks and non-routine projects; able to work with many interruptions and juggle varied tasks; enthusiastic team player with high initiative; willing to suggest new ideas and better ways to do things; positive about assisting in new endeavors; strong customer-service orientation.

Preferred Experience: High school diploma required; two-year degree preferred. Four to six years administrative experience required, covering a broad range of increasingly complex duties in a large division or company.
