What: Heavy.com seeks an experienced, passionate and tireless tech writer to pilot a new tech section for this established website. The ideal candidate is a 24/7 tech-news junky with the writing chops and professional experience to compete in this space — and the ambition to conquer it.
Responsibilities:
- Covering gadgets, industry news and all things tech, you’ll react in real-time to breaking news and trends — identifying emerging search terms to produce engaging content that will harness search traffic, generate buzz and drive rapid audience growth.
- You’ll generate maximum interest by finding that sweet spot where geeky meets mainstream.
- This position offers lots of freedom but carries high expectations. You’ll work independently, posting directly to the site, while maintaining close communication with the editor-in-chief. You’ll be a vital member of the editorial team and, if successful, a key player in the company’s growth.
Requirements:
- SEO acumen, extensive tech-writing experience for a website or blog, willingness to go “all-in.”
- Plus: Investigative reporting skills.
