Mixpo is a cloud-based video advertising platform that enables Media Companies, Brand Advertisers, and Agencies to create and deploy interactive, multi-screen video ads at scale. Media Companies use Mixpo’s platform to seamlessly extend TV campaigns across all of their digital properties — websites, mobile sites, and apps. Mixpo is looking for a stellar Web Developer responsible for building front end solutions for a variety of projects within the company.
Responsibilities: The position will require the learning, mastery, and maintenance of our existing corporate Website using HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, as well as some PHP development as it pertains to our ExpressionEngine CMS. As important as these technical abilities is an aptitude for problem solving and strategizing as part of a team that stresses speed and agility in a fast-paced industry. A passion for new and emerging technologies is a must, including using new features of HTML5 and CSS3 and knowing when to use them based on browser limitations.
Be proficient with Photoshop and Illustrator. Please be self-sufficient, detail oriented, love advertising, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit. Good written communication skills a plus.
Specific job responsibilities include:
- Web Master to corporate website
- Work directly with the Creative Service and Marketing teams to execute requested changes to Mixpo corporate website
- Minimal database management within the CMS
- Hand code HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery based on functional requirements and PSD/AI comps
- Use ExpressionEngine software to develop database-driven pages
- Provide periodic updates to Management of progress on live projects and campaigns
- Self-manage projects after kickoff or briefing; work with team project management system
- Adhere to the company brand while continuing to extend and develop it through the stylistic treatment of graphics
Requirements:
- Degree in technology-related field
- 3 — 5 years of experience in Web Design/Development or related field(s)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (PS/FW, AI, DW) + HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and some PHP
- General mobile (tablet, smartphone) experience to work on our Video Ad platform
- Experience with ExpressionEngine or other CMS software a plus
- Portfolio showing relevant experience
