What:   The Senior Marketing Strategy Manager/Product Manager provides in-depth understanding of internal and external factors affecting the client’s business, marketing, and digital strategy. He/She will identify business goals and objectives, develop strategic plans and briefs, delve into qualitative and quantitative research, inspire and lead ideation, and present strategic recommendations backed by rigorous ROI analysis to clients.

This highly collaborative role interfaces with VP and C-level client contacts and internal Razorfish team members in Client Engagement, Media, Analytics, Account Planning, Ad Operations, and Legal. Responsible for driving strategy engagements that may include research and insights, valuation and business case development, organizational design, process optimization, digital roadmap development, and more depending on client needs.

  • Lead digital strategy engagements with a strong focus on business analysis, strategic and financial modeling, differentiated digital experiences, key digital capabilities and/or road mapping
  • Engage with clients to identify key strategic challenge(s) and business, marketing and digital needs
  • Define a digital program’s strategic vision and business goals to guide strategy development and execution, and to move people to action
  • Support client presentations and business development efforts with strategic thinking, research and analysis. Develop business cases and ROI analysis for proposed investments
  • Work with strategy team members to define success metrics and evaluate business impact of digital strategies and investments
  • Define primary and secondary research needs. Conduct (or partner with others to conduct) appropriate primary research (interviews, focus groups, surveys) and evaluate and present findings
  • Analyze business, marketing and digital performance across products, markets, audiences, and channels
  • Analyze and provide recommendations on organizational issues related to formal structure, roles & responsibilities, processes, governance and decision rights, cross-functional team alignment & incentives, and similar operating considerations
  • Provide assessment and vision of the ideal ‘consumer experience’ by defining key capabilities that differentiate clients and meet consumer needs e.g. define cross-channel implications and opportunities, define impact to brand, etc
  • Provide recognized thought leadership and points of view (including white papers) on Digital strategies including eCommerce, Social Media, Digital in retail, etc

    Requirements:

  • 6-8 years Internet, marketing, product management, and/or management consulting experience with at least 3 years focused on the digital/technology space
  • Expert knowledge of online advertising, online strategy, and technology trends (social, mobile)
  • Proven experience leading strategy and digital roadmap projects in a complex environments
  • Proven experience managing integrated marketing programs (client-side) including segmentation, targeting, brand positioning, acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Strong understanding of user research, user-centered design principles and online consumer behavior
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; dynamic (persuasive) in presenting ideas to clients and prospective clients; comfortable quickly joining the client leadership team and immediately adding value
  • Must possess rigorous analytical disciplined approach as well as dynamic, abstract problem solving skills (get to the answer via both “inspiration” and “perspiration”)
  • Demonstrated success driving change within client organizations – past experience managing a team a plus
  • Must have a “change agent” attitude; constantly pushing us and our clients to new opportunities, approaches, ideas, perspectives, etc.
  • MBA strongly preferred.
