Summary:
Apptio is seeking a full-time Online Customer Community Manager to oversee Apptio’s customer and social media engagement strategy. Successful candidates must demonstrate “social media DNA” — including experience and active participation in a wide variety of activities such as Twitter, blogging, community development, social bookmarking and commenting. This is a hands-on position, requiring extensive engagement throughout the sales cycle and serving as the social and community ambassador for Apptio. Thus we are seeking an engaging personality that will be our first impression on many contacts. We also expect solid marketing and organizational skills, and the drive to create cross-functional coordination within Apptio.What: At Apptio we are focused on changing the world by making every IT organization that we work with into a more efficient and cost-effective service provider to the business. Responsibilities:

• Co-develop and maintain the online community and social engagement strategy, including moderation policy, escalation procedures, Apptio user provisioning, acceptable use, information classification, prospect/customer on-board, adoption and de-provision process and information security.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account list and user list (end-user, TBMA, Finance, Ops, Exec).
• Drive a proactive communication plan for customer recruiting and adoption.
• Evangelize community benefits to establish internal cross-functional buy-in and alignment.
• Define and enforce standard service level agreements and commitments, ensuring a superior quality of service and support to Apptio’s community.
• Develop community-training programs for internal and external members.
• Create formalized process that identifies and promotes content from internal forums and wikis for external consumption.
• Seek out and engage in external conversations to drive link back to Apptio’s Community.
• Develop ranking and incentive programs for internal and external members.
• Communicate community value through metrics reporting.

Requirements:

•3-5 Years marketing and/or social media experience.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Demonstrated expertise in community and social media tools and techniques.
•Ability to contribute individually while leading/managing/encouraging cross-company participation.
