The Sur La Table team is looking for an experienced online merchandiser to manage our site merchandising across assigned categories. This role will be responsible for merchandising product throughout the site, maximizing sales, conversion and revenue, and for assisting in developing a best-in-class shopping experience for our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):
- Merchandise and maintain products for sale on the site
- Manage categorization, brands shops, landing pages, and page ranking for assigned categories
- Collaborate with merchants and planners to develop merchandising strategies and promotions to drive sales and assist in resolving inventory and overstock issues
- Lead monthly internet turnovers (meetings) and develop effective merchandising strategies to support initiatives
- Create and maintain day to day reports used for analyzing the business
- Analyze site metrics and trends and communicate findings and recommendations to partners
- Coordinate site content to support email marketing initiatives
- Communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, deadline driven and changing environment
- Apply business analytics to drive results and meet objectives
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES (including, but not limited to):
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Strong time management skills.
- Knowledge of Sur La Table’s customers, business, systems and processes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (including, but not limited to):
- 3+ years’ experience online merchandising and/or online marketing
- 2+ years’ experience in a retail/merchandise driven environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Merchandising or relevant work experience (preferred)
- Experience with MS office Suite
- Advanced skills in MS Excel
