Getty Images is searching for a collaborative and detail-oriented UX Designer to help define the user experience of our web sites. We’re looking for a designer with a proven ability to create simple, innovative, and elegant design solutions that solve real customer problems.

Responsibilities: At Getty Images, you will be responsible for participating in all phases of the UI development process (opportunity identification, conceptualization, design, documentation and implementation). You will work closely with business partners, product managers and developers throughout all stages of the product cycle.

  • Work with stakeholders, researchers and others in the business to define needs and goals for new and existing Getty Images websites.
  • Effectively communicate interaction and design ideas through sketches, flow charts, site maps, wireframes, finished screens, UX specifications, and prototypes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of new and existing products, and make constructive suggestions for change, while collaborating with research and analytics to test and iterate designs.
  • Act as a user experience evangelist, advocating for our customers and representing their needs and perspectives to the team.
  • Participate in team scrums, planning, sizing, story writing, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Requirements:

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of self-starting on projects with little handholding.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to shift gears fast in an environment with rapid and constantly shifting priorities.
  • Experience with web analytics data and A/B or multivariate testing to evaluate, inform and guide UX design decisions.
  • Strong understanding of graphic design principles as a factor in user experience design.
  • 4+ years of experience with customer facing e-commerce and B2B business models.
  • A bachelor’s or advanced degree in an UX-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with Fireworks, Omnigraffle, Photoshop and familiarity with Dreamweaver.
  • Knowledge of the Macintosh/OSX platform.
  • Experience working within and integrating design processes into an AGILE environment a plus.
  • Experience working with and contributing to UI and interaction pattern libraries a plus.
