Position: Marketing Manager
What: You will be an instrumental team member involved in developing and managing marketing programs that increase awareness, encourage trial, and create loyal customers for our online search products.
Responsibilities: Help create brand and messaging strategies that effectively position InfoSpace products in the marketplace, and then execute on those strategies.
Perform regular market research to inform our understanding of customer segments, key benefits and pain points, and identify areas of opportunity for improving acquisition and retention.
Build ROI models and track performance of programs against these models. This includes reporting on performance to senior management. Strong analytic skills are essential to measure success of your programs.
Effectively work with our creative team to develop innovative ideas and powerful communication plans to drive awareness and trial.
Work closely with product management to align efforts, identify new feature opportunities, maximize revenue and deliver a strong and consistent message to our customers.
Develop and execute low-cost, high impact tactics to increase customer acquisition, engagement and retention.
Track industry trends and competitive profile information.
Requirements: 5+ years of successful online and offline marketing experience, which may include advertising, email marketing, social media marketing campaigns, guerilla marketing, etc.
Experience working with Internet based products and services.
Experience with primary marketing research (surveys, focus groups, user tests).
Ability to develop strategies, creative briefs, and position products successfully.
Proven track record of developing ROI-based marketing programs that drive acquisition of qualified customers.
Understanding of SEO and SEM tactics and best practices desired.
Proactive self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
Candidate should be comfortable working on both strategic and tactical levels – the ideal candidate can both develop a marketing plan and be highly involved in the tactical execution of that plan.
Strong cross group collaboration skills.
Excellent presentation skills and willingness to be an internal advocate for marketing efforts.
Bachelor’s degree in business or communications with an emphasis in Marketing or Advertising. Advanced Degree desired.
