Working under the direction of the Manager, Search Marketing, Search Marketer is responsible for managing day-to-day activities and projects related to paid search. This includes optimizing budget and campaign performance across several accounts to support lead generation and online business for Concur’s various products and business units. Responsibilities: Working under the direction of the Manager, Search Marketing, Search Marketer is responsible for managing day-to-day activities and projects related to paid search. This includes optimizing budget and campaign performance across several accounts to support lead generation and online business for Concur’s various products and business units. The ideal candidate for this position will be outgoing, proactive and well-versed in search engine marketing.

  • Develop effective keyword management and execute strategies on paid search programs
  • Perform hands-on search optimization efforts, including ad copy writing
  • Perform daily account management of pay per click accounts on several search engines
  • Maintain and monitor keyword bids, account daily and monthly budget caps, impression share, quality score and other important account metrics
  • Manage large keyword lists
  • Provide creative copy suggestions and graphical ad templates for test and/or display ads
  • Manage Display network placement lists on AdWords and other contextual advertising platforms
  • Provide recommendations and execute strategies for keyword opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, display network, and other facets of paid search
  • Aid in the creation of new paid search marketing initiatives including generating new paid search campaigns, ad groups and accounts
  • Keep pace with search engine and PPC industry trends and developments
  • Requirements:

    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Good ad copywriting and grammar skills
    • Strong analytic and quantitative abilities; proficient in Excel, data manipulation, and data presentation
    • Proficient with online PPC systems such as Google AdWords, Microsoft AdCenter, Omniture Search Center
    • Knowledge of Google Display Network (and/or other similar display ad networks) – preferred
    • Extreme attention to detail
    • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Ability to evaluate and change priorities daily and to perform efficiently within a fast paced team environment
